Questions
Yes — and that is deliberate. You connect your own KoboToolbox account with an API token, so every form and every submission lives in your Kobo project under your organisation's control. The Hub deploys into it and reads back out of it. If you ever stop using the Hub, your forms and data are still sitting in your own Kobo account.
One completed response to one form, however it arrived — synced from Kobo, imported from a spreadsheet, or keyed in from paper. Re-syncing a submission you already have does not count again: records are matched on their id and updated in place. Editing a record does not count either.
Yes. Deployed forms work in KoboCollect, which stores submissions on the device and uploads them when a connection appears. Enumerators do not need a Kobo login: the deploy switches on open submissions, so the QR code or link is enough. Back in the Hub, one sync brings everything in.
The interface switches language — navigation, field types, record statuses, roles, report sections and aggregation labels all have Khmer equivalents built in. Your own content (form questions, choice lists, project names) is whatever you type, in whichever language you type it, and the two can be mixed in the same form.
Import a CSV or Excel export and map its columns onto a form. Columns that do not match are kept rather than dropped, so a mid-round change to your questionnaire will not silently lose a field. Once imported, old rounds sit alongside new ones for comparison.
Nothing is deleted when a plan lapses. The workspace becomes read-only and export stays available, so you can always take your records out as Excel or CSV and your reports as PDF. And because deployment goes through your own Kobo account, the source data was never only in ours.
Yes — for registered non-profits, universities and student research, and for Cambodian-registered organisations. Tell us a little about the work on the contact page and we will quote accordingly. Short-term project pricing for a single survey round is also possible.
On the Institution plan, yes — either self-hosted on your infrastructure or pinned to a region you specify, with a data-processing agreement. This is the usual route for ministries and for programmes handling personal or health data under a donor's security requirements.
