Cambodia, point by point
Thirteen sets of points of interest laid over the provinces and the road network. Filter the sets, search a place or a road reference, and read the record behind any point. It runs entirely in your browser — the whole map ships with the page and calls nothing while you use it.
The map is built for a wide screen. On a phone, collapse its sidebar with the control in its own header, or open it full screen.
Six things the map does
Everything below is a control on the map itself — nothing here needs an account, a login, or a connection.
Point sets
Thirteen sets, each toggled on or off on its own. All and None sweep the lot when you want to isolate one.
Road tiers
Expressway, national and provincial roads, each drawn at its own weight and switchable independently of the points.
Search
By place name or road reference. Clear drops the query; Reset view returns the map to its opening frame.
Pan & zoom
Drag to pan, scroll to zoom, or use the zoom controls. Place names appear once you pass sixteen times magnification.
Records
Hover a dot or a road for a summary; click a dot to pin its full record in the card at the corner.
Base layer
Provincial boundaries and the larger cities sit underneath, so a point always reads against somewhere.
A reference layer, not a survey
The points, roads and boundaries are an extract of OpenStreetMap, processed once and bundled into the page. It is a reference layer for planning work — reading where sites sit relative to the road network before a route or a sampling frame is committed. It is not a MESRI dataset, and nothing in it has been through our own field verification.
Treat coverage as uneven. OpenStreetMap is denser around Phnom Penh and the provincial towns than it is off the national roads, and an absent point means nobody has mapped it rather than that nothing is there.
